(Summer 2013)
As a summer intern with South Bend's Historic Preservation Commission, I cataloged a collection of over 1500 blueprints of buildings built in the 20th and early 21st centuries in and around South Bend, Indiana.
Digital Project Worker at Bond Hall Architecture Library
(Summer 2013)
In the Architecture Library at the University of Notre Dame, I worked on developing the South Bend Research Portal. Tasks I accomplished ranged from building 3-D SketchUp models of historic buildings in South Bend from photographs and drawings.
Waiter
(Summer 2013)
I was a waiter at Legends Restaurant in South Bend, Indiana for one summer. I developed my set of interpersonal skills by maintaining an appropriate level of formality while interacting with patrons and mediating by balancing the desires of the patrons.
Swim Instructor
(2008-2012)
As a swim instructor in Framingham Massachusetts, I worked for the MetroWest YMCA teaching private and semi-private lessons to children ages 3 to 13. As an independant swim instructor, I taught children of all ages and some adults. In doing this work, I developed communication skills and I learned how to be an effective mentor.
